The House as Precision

On a narrow lot in the north end, we propose a house. 35 by 55 feet. 1,050 square feet. Two storeys. Two bedrooms. A kitchen, a bath, a living space. Nothing more. Nothing wasted.

The form is simple: a wood frame, clad in corrugated metal, crowned with a steep pitched roof. Large windows puncture the mass, opening interior life to light and air.

The plan is compact but complete. A modern kitchen. A three-piece bath. Engineered wood underfoot. Every square foot is measured, every element essential.

It meets code. It respects bylaws. It parks two cars. It can sit upon a basement or rest lightly on a slab. It is adaptable, repeatable, exact.

We declare: the single-family house need not inflate itself with excess. Its strength lies in clarity—an honest form, a precise plan, a durable shell. Architecture as necessity, executed with intention.
