Process
Pre-Design
Determine the project budget, schedule, objectives—including membership, recruitment, costs, visitation, future development, publication, community engagement, parking, and other goals
Concept Search
Develop comprehensive site analysis drawings, a working site model, and functional adjacency diagrams to identify challenges, followed by a brainstorming session with the design team to generate at least fifty ideas addressing user experience, success factors, motifs, site issues, sustainability, and innovation strategies.
Concept Documentation
Create quick, simple conceptual models and diagrams using found materials to explore and convey each idea or strategy's possibilities.
Peer Review
The design team presents all relevant project information to peers, evaluates concepts based on success factors, functionality, sustainability, innovation, and site response using a scorecard, and selects three strategies for further development.
Concept Development
Develop quick study models, sketches, and presentation boards for three schemes, including evaluation and refinement, to showcase potential materials and concepts across architecture, interior design, landscape, and engineering.
Concept Selection
Select a preferred concept after team presentation, develop plans, elevations, and perspectives, evaluate and refine, create presentation models, and develop boards showcasing potential materials and vocabularies for architecture, ID, landscape, and engineering.
