Richard Baronins was lead designer and project manager for this project while at Verne Reimer Architecture. The expansion was conceived to provide an additional 40 daycare spaces, along with new cultural facilities, administrative offices, classrooms, training areas, a wellness room, and a teaching kitchen.

The architecture is expressed as a series of geometric volumes, anchored by a curved cultural space that hovers above the exterior daycare play area. Rotated slightly to align with the north–south axis, this space distinguishes itself as the symbolic and functional heart of the facility.

The daycare wing is defined by a more playful façade treatment, where windows of varying sizes rise and fall across the elevation, creating shifting sightlines scaled to children and opening easy views to the outside.

The second floor is dedicated to cultural and training programs. Here, a gallery wraps around the cultural space, overlooking the lobby below and offering a generous gathering area for rest and informal exchange. A curving, light-filled ceiling bulkhead guides movement through the gallery, meandering toward and around the cylindrical wellness room, unifying the experience with a sense of rhythm and flow.
